DAGUPAN CITY, Nov 8 (PIA) -- The National Grid Corporation of the
Philippines (NGCP) said it will shut down some of its transmission
facilities in parts of eastern Pangasinan for 12-hours on Saturday,
November 10.
Power will be interrupted from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the annual
preventive maintenance and testing of Mangaldan 5MVA power transformer,
simultaneous with replacement of selected wood poles along San
Manuel-Manaoag-Urdaneta-Mangaldan 69kV transmission line, Lilibeth
Gaydowen of NGCP said.
The affected distribution utility includes portions of Pangasinan
Electric Cooperative III, Central Pangasinan Electric Cooperative and
Dagupan Electric Corporation, which service the towns of San Manuel,
Binalonan, Pozorrubio, Laoac, Asingan, Mapandan, Mangaldan, San Jacinto,
Manaoag, San Fabian and parts of Sison and Urdaneta City.
Specific municipalities to be affected by the power interruption are
determined by the above-mentioned distribution utility, unless the
activity affects the entire franchise area. The distribution utility
allots the available power within its franchise area and implements the
power interruption scheduled among the end-users.
NGCP’s customers and the general public are advised to take the
necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled interruption.
Normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
