THREE dead bodies with gunshot wounds in their head were found inside an
abandoned vehicle in Asingan, Pangasinan the other night.
The
victims were identified as Alberto Reyes, Joel Reyes, both residents of
Nueva Ecija and Rodolfo Cayetano, of West Crame, San Juan City, Metro
Manila.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 1 spokesman Supt. Raul
Romero said the victims were found inside a maroon Nissan Frontier
pickup with plate number JWL-333 that was parked in Bgy. San Vicente,
Asingan.
The residents noticed the vehicle parked in the said
vacant lot around 7:50 p.m. and discovered that it was riddled with
bullets. A closer check showed three bodies bathed with their own blood.
Romero said that based on the initial investigation of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), the victims were shot at close range. He said the gunman used caliber .45 pistol.
According to victims’ relatives the three went to Pangasinan to meet someone engaged in selling vehicle.
Police recovered P42,545 cash from the vehicle and a cellular phone owned by one of the victims.
Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident. Zaida Delos Reyes-Palanca
