10 drown during 2011 Holy Week

MANILA, Philippines – A total of 10 people, including 4 children, drowned in separate incidents during Holy Week.
On Black Saturday, 4 children drowned in a river in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija.
The fatalities were identified as Francis Belmonte, 10; Jeff Alquizal, 12; John Vincent Marcos, 10; and, Anslly Constantino, 8.
The incident took place around noon.
    
In Pangasinan, a 21-year-old man died in a beach in San Fabian.
 
Malbert Montorero had an epileptic attack while swimming on Holy Thursday.

Three people drowned in Nabua, Camarines Sur also on Holy Thursday.
The victims were identified as Wilson Luzon, his wife Maria, and Joseph Guazon.
They were crossing a river when a huge wave swept them away.
Their bodies were retrieved several hours later.
In Oriental Mindoro, 2 people drowned while another went missing in the Bucayao river.
Two bodies have so far been retrieved. They were identified as Jemelyn Zoleta and Abegael Dimaano.
Rescuers have yet to locate Dimaano’s father Efren.
Zoleta’s body was found on Good Friday.
Zoleta and the Dimaanos went swimming on Thursday afternoon.
