Oldest Woman — ROSALES’ SUPER CENTENARIAN Luisa Castañeda Perez Damasco or Lola Luisa is a 112 years old woman who will be celebrating her 113th birthday next month. She is a resident of Brgy. Balincanaway, Rosales, Pangasinan and was born on August 27, 1897. She has seven children and numerous grandchildren. The eldest child was Nanay Modesta who is 87 years old and the youngest among the sibling is Tatay Victoriano who is 64 years old. All of whom are still alive as of today, making it a "living proof" that longevity really runs thru the veins of this family.
Lola Luisa is indeed a "super-centenarian", a person who reached the age of 110 years old and above. With her age, she can be recognized as the oldest living woman in Pangasinan and probably in the whole Philippines.
Life is short according to a poem but if we take good care of our life especially our health it will perhaps last for decades or even reach a century. For Lola Luisa, health is wealth. In fact, having reached that age is truly amazing for she was able to see and be there with her great grandchildren.
