TWO nurses who won in two different beauty contests in Pangasinan province have pledged to extend assistance to the San Carlos City Government's health programs.
Kris Allaine Crisulo and Marilee dela Cruz said they will join future medical missions to be conducted in the city by any group. They articulated their noble intention when they both visited City Information Officer Rachel Sapigao at her office.
Crisulo, 21, who hails from Barangay Colilings, was crowned last May as Miss Magic 2008, a province-wide beauty search yearly organized by the Magic Group of Companies. She was also crowned Miss San Carlos City Anniversary on January 1, 2002.
Dela Cruz, 22, of Barangay Calobaoan, was Limgas na Pangasinan 2nd runner-up. The Limgas na Pangasinan is a long running beauty contest being organized by the Provincial Government. It is one of the highlights of Pangasinan's Pista'y Dayat that starts third week of April and ends first week of May.
She was also Miss San Carlos City Anniversary in 2006.
Crisulo works at the Pangasinan Provincial Hospital located in Barangay Bolingit here.
Aside from helping in medical missions, she said she intends to help provide school needs of the Coliling Elementary School, her alma mater, with her prize money from the Miss Magic search.
Dela Cruz is working at the Region I Medical Center in Dagupan City.
By extending their knowledge as nurses, the two beauty titlist would like to express their gratitude to Mayor Julier Resuello who greatly supported them weeks before their respective pageant nights.
Also, they would like to inspire their young city mates to aspire for higher education for better employment. (LCMY/Sunnex)
